Timberwolves defeat Huskies 6-1

Timberwolves defeat Huskies 6-1

MIDLAND, Mich - Pitted against the current top team in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, Michigan Tech fell 6-1 to Northwood Saturday in women's tennis, halting a three-match win streak on the second of back-to-back outings. Neva Manas mustered the only team point for Tech with a victory at No. 4 singles.

"Today was a difficult challenge and we came up short. Our team didn't come out with the same fire and energy as Northwood and in the end it helped push them through."

The Huskies (3-5, 3-1 GLIAC) play Wayne State Sunday before closing out the season with three home matches starting April 16 against Grand Valley State.
