HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The Michigan Tech women's tennis team swept Kutztown 7-0 Tuesday evening in match two of the Spring Tennis Fest held in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The victory was the 10th overall on the season for the Huskies.

"Today the ladies knew exactly what they needed to do," Michigan Tech Head Coach Kristin Yep said. "Our match was delayed an hour because of the match before us. Waiting around to warm up and play a match is never easy, but they were ready when I needed them to be and they went out on the court and got the job done."

Michigan Tech (10-5) dominated Tuesday's contest with impressive wins up and down the lineup in both doubles and singles. Ivona Gorgioski and Jessica Brown teamed up to defeat Amanda Grebosky and Alicia Pursell in No. 1 doubles while Dominika Bobik and Lauren Opalewski blanked Claudia Makarski and Catherine Maher of Kutztown (1-7) by the final of 6-0 in the No. 2 position in the lineup. Mirna Golac and Neva Manas closed out doubles with a 6-1 triumph over Devyn Campbell and Elyssa Tomczyk in the No. 3 spot Tuesday.

The Huskies carried a 1-0 lead into singles and kept the momentum rolling. Bobik competed in the No.1 position and topped Grebosky 6-4, 6-1 while Brown owned in the No. 2 spot in the lineup and claimed a 6-0, 6-0 win over Alicia Pursell. Opalewski fired past Makarski 6-2, 6-0 in No. 3 singles while Manas picked up a 6-1, 6-1 decision in her favor over Campbell.
