Soccer hires David Juarez as Assistant Coach

Michigan Tech soccer has announced the hiring of David Juarez as assistant coach for the 2022-23 season. Juarez brings over 10 years of coaching experience to the Huskies and previously worked with head coach Turk Ozturk at Eagan High School in Minnesota.

Soccer Announces 2021-22 Team Awards

Michigan Tech soccer head coach Turk Ozturk has announced nine team award winners for the 2021-22 fall season. Grace Shaw was named team most valuable player. The Huskies finished the season 12-7 overall, including 9-5 in the GLIAC.

Michigan Tech Soccer Releases 2022-23 Schedule

Head coach Turk Ozturk and the Michigan Tech soccer program is pleased to announce a full slate of games for the fall 2022-23 season. The Huskies are fresh off a successful spring, where they went 9-5 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 12-7 overall. Tech qualified for the GLIAC quarterfinals for the second straight season and was in contention for selection to the NCAA Region Tournament until the final week of the year.

Five Huskies receive All-GLIAC Honors

The Michigan Tech soccer team had five players earn Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference recognition, announced by the conference office on Friday. Grace Shaw, Stephanie Yeager, Erika Gabriel, and Molly Bolang were all named All-GLIAC Second Team. Alicia Shatrau also earned Honorable Mention.

The Huskies finish the regular season with a 12-6 overall record and 9-5 mark in the GLIAC. Michigan Tech finished fourth in the conference and will rematch with NMU in the GLIAC quarterfinal on Tuesday (Nov. 9) at 1 p.m. from Kearly Stadium.

The Huskies will finish the regular season at NMU on Sunday (Nov. 7) at 1 p.m. Michigan Tech is 11-5 overall and 8-4 in the GLIAC.
