Soccer Announces Four Signings to 2020 Recruiting Class

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech soccer team and Head Coach Michelle Jacob are pleased to announce the addition of four student-athletes for the 2020 season. Bolang comes to Michigan Tech after playing for the Pinckney Community High School, where she posted six goals and five assists for the Pirates. Bolang was named All-Conference as a freshman and a sophomore, and she helped the Pirates make the District finals in her sophomore season, the furthest Pinckney Community High School went in the playoffs in school history. A member of the National Honor Society, Bolang will major in Engineering.

"I chose Michigan Tech because not only did I love Houghton, but it allowed me to pursue my soccer career while providing an elite education," said Bolang.

Quote from Coach Jacob: "Molly is a very intelligent player with a high soccer IQ. She typically fills a defensive role where she has tremendous mobility that she uses to cover for her teammates as needed. She is often the first to any loose ball, and uses her short –range passing to maintain possession of the ball in the build-up phase. She's not afraid of physical play and is strong in the tackle. She has a tremendous work ethic and plays with a smile on her face."

President of the Gaylord High School National Honor Society, Olli aims to major in Pre Health Professions/Biological Sciences while attending Michigan Tech.

"The coaches and athletes at Michigan Tech have very positive attitudes and a really special team atmosphere that I am very excited to be a part of," said Olli.

Quote from Coach Jacob: "Reagan brings great goalkeeper tools to join a strong goalkeeper group here at Michigan Tech. She's athletic, quick, has great hands and depth perception, and has the courage to apply all those tools to in-game situations. She has shown herself to be a positive, hard-working competitor throughout her playing career and as a Husky, we expect to see her raise her play even further."

"I chose Michigan Tech because I strongly feel that it is the best academic and athletic fit for me," Voss said.

Quote from Coach Jacob: "Vayda can operate anywhere across the midfield and forward lines. She is quick and skilled at getting behind defenses, holds the ball well, and has a nice range of passes to play in her teammates. She has a great work ethic and her pace will help make her a top competitor as a Husky."

Coupled with tremendous persistence, physical presence, and a never-say-die attitude, Hadley will be a strong addition to our program."
