Huskies announce basketball reunion events

Michigan Tech men’s and women’s basketball cordially invites all of its alumni and families back to campus to be a part of their reunion celebration the weekend of August 3-5, 2023. Both teams will be in action at home Thursday and Saturday.

Plitzuweit named Gopher women's basketball head coach

Michigan Tech Sports Hall of Famer Dawn Plitzuweit was named the Head Women's Basketball Coach at the University of Minnesota on March 18. Plitzuweit was an All-American for the Huskies, playing from 1990-95, and was an assistant coach for the Black and Gold from 1995-98.
Michigan Tech’s season ends in NCAA Region Quarterfinals

Michigan Tech assembled a 14-0 run in the third quarter to tie the game but fell to Trevecca Nazarene 65-63 in the NCAA Midwest Region quarterfinals at Kates Gymnasium. Keeley Carter led the Trojans with 23 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists as the Huskies’ postseason ended Friday night.

No. 23 ranked Michigan Tech makes its 21st NCAA appearance Friday in Ashland, Ohio as the No. 4 seed. Tech takes on No. 5 seed Trevecca Nazarene at Kates Gymnasium at 7:30 p.m. in the Midwest Region quarterfinals. A radio broadcast will be on Mix 93.5 FM WKMJ and pasty.net. The Huskies and Trojans were both runners-up in their respective conference tournaments last weekend.
