Track and Field honored for team academics by USTFCCCA

The Michigan Tech men's and women's track & field teams were both named All-Academic Teams for the 2020 NCAA Division II Track & Field season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). Both teams led the GLIAC in team grade-point average.
Byrd named CoSIDA Academic All-District

Michigan Tech runner Emily Byrd has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Track & Field/Cross Country Team. Byrd is a senior from Perrysburg, Ohio, and held a 3.82 grade-point average in environmental engineering. She now advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot.
GLIAC Cancels All Activities Through May 31

The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) announced Friday that it is canceling all athletically related activity for all sports through May 31, 2020 due to concerns over the COVID-19 health situation.
NCAA Cancels Remaining Winter and Spring Championships

The National Collegiate Athletic Association announced Thursday that it is cancelling the remaining winter and spring championships, including the NCAA Skiing Championships and NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Midwest Regional tournament that Michigan Tech was scheduled to participate in this week, due to concerns over the COVID-19 health situation.
