Huskies Outplayed by Warriors 7-0

MIDLAND, Mich. - Recent road struggles continued for Michigan Tech men's tennis Sunday as the Huskies lost 7-0 to Wayne State at Greater Midland Tennis Center in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match. Ambarish Rao and Ricardo Nunez were winners at No. 2 doubles, but the Huskies came up short in singles to drop to 0-9 (0-4 GLIAC). The Warriors improved to 4-6 (3-2 GLIAC) with the victory.

"Today, we were outplayed by a good Wayne State team, but I give our guys credit for keeping our energy up and fighting hard," said head coach Kristin Yep. "We're making changes in the culture and really starting to build a strong foundation for today and the future of this team."

The Huskies hope to turn their fortunes around when they play in Houghton for the first time this week. Next up is Grand Valley State Friday, April 16 at Gates Tennis Center. The team has three regular season matches on the calendar before the GLIAC Tournament.
