Huskies blanked by Davenport 7-0

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Michigan Tech men's tennis suffered its sixth straight defeat Friday in a 7-0 road loss to Davenport at MVP Sportplex. The Huskies played with just five men and won one doubles match before the Panthers swept singles. Ambarish Rao and Ricardo Nunez Cuesta teamed up for a 7-6(7) tiebreak victory that was the Huskies only bright spot in the loss.

"It was great to get the opportunity to play a conference match for the first time today," said head coach Kristin Yep. "Unfortunately, we are playing down several players due to injury, which is extremely difficult to overcome. I felt we got off to a bit of a slow start today and struggled to get into matches. Tomorrow we will work hard for a better outcome."
