Maxx Fredrickson was named the full-time Director of Hockey Operations in July 2022 after working the position as a student over the previous three seasons.
Fredrickson joined the hockey staff prior to the 2019 season and was a part of the 2019 Great Lakes Invitational Championship team and the 2022 NCAA Tournament team
Fredrickson manages all aspects of the collection, creation, and analysis of game and practice video and distributes it to the coaching staff and student-athletes. He also helps create scouting reports, analyze statistical data, and schedule practice. Fredrickson assists with transportation, lodging, itineraries, and meals for team travel. He will also play a key role in the annual Michigan Tech Hockey Camp.
Fredrickson played three years of hockey for Calumet High School and served as an assistant captain as a senior in 2015. He received the annual George Gipp Award as the outstanding senior athlete at Calumet. Fredrickson also played football and ran track and cross country for the Copper Kings.
Fredrickson has played the last seven seasons for the Calumet Wolverines in the Great Lakes Hockey League. Fredrickson and the Wolverines won the historic Gibson Cup in 2018 and 2019.
The Calumet, Michigan native has a Bachelor's in Business Management and a Master’s in Business Administration both from Michigan Tech.
