Mark Sinclair signs with Cincinnati Cyclones in ECHL

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Michigan Tech senior goaltender Mark Sinclair has signed a Standard Player Contract with the Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. Sinclair is with the team in Canada is available for tonight's game against Trois-Riviéres.

Sinclair, a native of Dundas, Ontario, appeared in 10 games over the past two seasons for the Huskies with a 3-3-1 record. In his first season with Tech in 2020-21, Sinclair held a 2.26 goals-against average and .898 save percentage in eight games. He had a pair of shutouts and earned his first win at Tech with a 19-save game against his former team Alabama Huntsville.

Sinclair battled through injury in 2021-22 and appeared in two games, holding a 1.97 goals-against average and .905 save percentage. He made 15 saves at Ferris State as the Huskies came back from a two-goal deficit to earn a shootout win. He also stopped four shots in a win at Northern Michigan.

Sinclair played three seasons and 65 games for Alabama Huntsville from 2017-20. He ranked second in the WCHA with 971 saves in 2019-20 and had seven games with 40 saves, including a career-high 54 save performance against Bowling Green. Sinclair was twice named WCHA Goaltender of the Week during the 2018-19 season. He played a season with the Chilliwack Chiefs in the BCHL and two seasons in the GOJHL for Caledonia and Hamilton before college hockey. Caledonia won back-to-back GOJHL Cups in 2015 and 2016.
