Matt Roy Invited to Los Angeles Kings Development Camp

The Los Angeles Kings will host the team's annual Development Camp at Toyota Sports Center July 4th – 8th. On-ice workouts are scheduled to begin on Monday morning, July 4. Michigan Tech will have junior defenseman Matt Roy (D/Canton, Mich.) in attendance. The Development Camp roster is expected to include players in the Kings system, players who have been drafted but not signed by the Kings, and other non-roster camp invites.

Selected by the Los Angeles Kings in the seventh round (194th overall) of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. Matt earned a spot on the All-WCHA Second Team this past season. He was named the Gitzen-Loutit Memorial Award winner as the team's top defensive player in 2015-16. He scored 20 points on seven goals and 13 assists in 37 games while posting a plus/minus of (+24) in 2015-16. He has produced 7-22=29 in two seasons with the Huskies and is +45 for this Tech career.
