WCHA Playoff Tickets Now On Sale

HOUGHTON, Mich. – Playoff hockey is coming to the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena on March 13-15 for the first time in 22 years. Michigan Tech will host a best-of-three WCHA First Round Series at 7:07 p.m. Friday and Saturday and, if necessary, Sunday.

Tickets can be purchased at the Central Ticket Office in the Student Development Complex, online at BuyHuskiesTickets.com or over the phone by calling 906-487-2073.

Tickets are $17 for reserved adult seats and $5 for reserved youth seats.

Michigan Tech Athletics will be purchasing tickets for Tech students. The students can pick their seats from Monday, February 16 until Friday, March 6 on a first come first serve basis. Reservations are available at the central ticket office, by calling 906-487-2073 or emailing tickets@mtu.edu. Students must have a valid Michigan Tech student ID to pick up their ticket and to gain entrance into the game. 100 seats in sections O and P will be reserved for the ET entrance on game nights.

The Huskies are ranked No. 5 in the nation with a 22-7-1 overall record. They clinched home ice last Saturday (Feb. 7) in a 2-1 win over Bemidji State. This weekend (Feb. 13-14) Tech is playing at Alaska Anchorage.

Tech last hosted a home playoff series during the 1992-93 season. The Huskies defeated St. Cloud State 3-1 and 6-5 to advance to the WCHA Final Five.
