Mike Augustine is in his 13th season working behind the scenes with the men’s basketball program.

Augustine served as Portage Lake Golf Course manager for 34 years, seeing the addition of nine holes, a new clubhouse and watering system during his tenure. He also worked as the manager of Mont Ripley Ski Hill for 20 years.

The Calumet, Mich., native earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northern Michigan in 1970.

Augustine and his wife, Lynn, have three children, Chris, Nicole and Matt.
