Bio

Coach Klein begins his 13th year (12th season) on the Michigan Tech football coaching staff in 2023-24. Klein works primarily with the defensive line. Last season, he helped the defense allow 25.2 points per game to opponents and his players produced 17 sacks.

In 2021-22, he helped the Huskies finish 6-4 overall last season, including 5-2 in the GLIAC for third place. The Husky defense tied for second in the conference with 18.6 points allowed to opponents per game.

Klein brings enthusiasm and passion for the game to his coaching philosophy and strives to develop in his players a "What's Next" attitude, rather than "are we almost done?" Klein grew up in the Copper Country and graduated from Northern Michigan University. He played football for NMU in the mid to late 1980's.

Klein and his wife Lynn live reside in the Houghton area with their four children, Konrad, Lincoln, Lucas, and Kami.
