It has been just over 10 years since Michigan Tech football last beat a No. 1 ranked team (October 30, 2010, Grand Valley State, 20-17) but they will have a chance to conjure the magic again Saturday, October 23 at 1 p.m. against top-ranked Ferris State at Kearly Stadium. The Huskies are hot off a comeback 21-14 Miner’s Cup victory over Northern Michigan at Superior Dome and have won each of their last three outings in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.

For the 11th straight season, Michigan Tech defeated rival Northern Michigan for the Miner's Cup 21-14 at Superior Dome in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference football game. Tied 14-14 late in the fourth quarter, quarterback Will Ark delivered an eight-yard strike to a wide-open Jordan Janssen on a slant down the right sideline, giving the Huskies the final lead with just 18 seconds to play and the victory. John Paramski also made a crucial fourth quarter interception to help turn the momentum.

Michigan Tech football aims for its 11th straight Miner’s Cup victory Saturday against Northern Michigan (3-3, 1-1) at 12 p.m. EST at Superior Dome. It will be the 94th meeting between the two rivals in games dating back to 1920. The Huskies enter the game on a two-game win streak. The game can be heard locally on Mix 93.5 WKMJ with Josh Ylitalo (play-by-play) and TV6 television with Dave Ellis.

The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference has named Michigan Tech football freshman Drew Wyble its GLIAC Special Teams Player of the Week. After an outstanding kicking and punting performance at Wayne State on Saturday night, he is the first player this fall to earn player of the week recognition.

Drew Wyble kicked a 26-yard field goal as time expired to lift Michigan Tech football over Wayne State 30-27 at Tom Adams Stadium Saturday night. Quarterback Will Ark commanded a 14 play, 76-yard final drive to put the Huskies in position to win over the final 5 minutes, 45 seconds of the fourth quarter.

Michigan Tech football (2-2, 1-0) travels to Detroit to face Wayne State (0-5, 0-1) Saturday, October 9 at 6 p.m. EST at Tom Adams Stadium for Warrior homecoming. It will be the first road game of the fall for the Huskies and the only evening affair of the regular season. Wayne State won the last matchup between the two teams in Detroit on November 9, 2019 by a score of 35-14.

The Michigan Tech athletic department has announced the Miner's Cup football game scheduled for Saturday, October 16 against Northern Michigan will kick off at 12 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Northern Michigan University is the home team and the game will be played at Superior Dome in Marquette. Fans can also watch the game on TV6.

With four forced fumbles, a pair of interceptions, and a blocked field goal, Michigan Tech football rolled to a convincing 31-7 homecoming victory over Davenport University Saturday afternoon at Kearly Stadium. William Marano led the ground game with 90 yards and one touchdown and the Huskies ended their four-game homestand with an even 2-2 record. Tech also picked up its first Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference win as the Panthers fell to 1-4 (0-1 GLIAC).
