Michigan Tech Football to Host Scrimmage Tuesday Night

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech football team will be hosting a scrimmage Tuesday night at Sherman Field as part of the countdown to the 2016 season opener. The scrimmage starts at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.

The Huskies finished the 2015 campaign with an overall record of 7-3 and finished tied for fourth in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season standings. MTU was a perfect 5-0 at home a season ago and recorded the sixth straight winning season for the program.

The Huskies were picked 3rd in the North Division in the GLIAC Preseason Coaches' Poll and are receiving votes in American Football Coaches Association Preseason Division II Coaches' Poll.

MTU kicks off the 2016 season on Saturday September 3rd against Walsh (Ohio) University at home beginning at 1 p.m.
