Spring Football Game on Tap for Saturday

HOUGHTON, Mich. — Michigan Tech will play its 2015 spring intrasquad football game at 1 p.m. Saturday (Apr. 18) at Sherman Field.

The Huskies have 97 players on the roster who have been going through spring drills in preparation for the 2015 season. The spring season culminates in Saturday's game, where the team will split into two squads—Black and White.

Admission to the spring football game is free.

Michigan Tech's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will be collecting donations and selling wristbands to support autism awareness. Fans will also have a chance during halftime to play a football toss game with prizes of Coaches Corner gift cards. Proceeds will also benefit the autism awareness cause.

Tech is coming off one of the most successful seasons in school history in 2014 with a 9-2 record and the program's second-ever berth into the NCAA Playoffs.
