HOCKEY
Michigan Tech took 4-of-6 CCHA points in a CCHA home series against Lake Superior State. The teams tied 2-2 Friday with the Lakers earning the extra point with a shootout win. Ryland Mosley and Jed Pietila scored. Tech shut out the LSSU  2-0 Saturday. Blake Pietila secured his school-record 14th shutout with goals by David Jankowski and Trevor Russell. Tech is 6-3-2 overall and 2-2-2 in the CCHA and travels to St. Thomas this weekend.

VOLLEYBALL
The Huskies swept Wayne State in the GLIAC Quarterfinal in Detroit on Wednesday before falling to Ferris State 3-1 in the GLIAC Semifinals Friday. Meg Raabe was named to the GLIAC All-Tournament Team after averaging 5.57 kills per set. Tech finished the season with a 20-10 record, winning 20 matches for the fifth time under coach Matt Jennings.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech went 2-0 at the William Jewell GLIAC/GLVC Crossover Tournament with a 63-32 win over the host Cardinals Friday and a 95-83 overtime win over Lewis Saturday. Ellie Mackay (17), Isabella Lenz (15.5), Sloane Zenner (13), and Alex Rondorf (11) all averaged double figures during the season-opening weekend. Tech hosts Concordia-St. Paul at 2 p.m. Tuesday before heading to Southwest Minnesota State (Thursday) and Minnesota Crookston (Saturday) on the weekend.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Michigan Tech hosted the GLVC/GLIAC Crossover Tournament at SDC Gym to kickoff the regular season and fell 71-67 to Lewis Saturday night. The Huskies bounced back for a 77-67 win over McKendree Sunday afternoon. Dan Gherezgher (27), Brad Simonsen (12), Marcus Tomashek (11), Adam Hobson (11), and Eric Carl (10) all scored double figures. Tech stays in Houghton to host Minnesota Crookston Friday at 6 p.m.

CROSS COUNTRY
The cross country teams race at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships at Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course, hosted by Parkside on Saturday. The Huskies raced the same course in the first race of the season on September 2.

FOOTBALL
Tech wrapped up its season with a 35-30 loss at Saginaw Valley State Saturday. Darius Willis had a pair of touchdown receptions, Will Ark had a rushing score and Ethan Champney caught a pass in the endzone. Hunter Buechel led the defense with 12 tackles. Tech finished fifth in the GLIAC with a 2-4 record and was 4-7 overall.
