HOCKEY
Michigan Tech split its first CCHA road series of the season at Bowling Green. The Huskies won 3-2 Friday as Coach Shawhan picked up career win number 100. Parker Saretsky, Ryland Mosley, and Logan Ganie scored the goals. Blake Pietila made 41 saves. The Falcons won 6-1 Saturday. Trevor Russell scored the lone goal. Tech hosts Lake Superior State Friday at 7:07 p.m. and Saturday at 6:07 p.m. at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena.

FOOTBALL
Ethan Champney reeled in a career-high three touchdown passes and Darius Willis added 150 yards receiving from quarterback Will Ark as Michigan Tech escaped with its fourth straight victory over Hillsdale 28-24 Saturday downstate. Marc Sippel led the defense with 16 tackles and Sam Ahern sealed the win with a late interception. Tech (4-6, 1-3 GLIAC) remains on the road for its final regular season game Saturday at Saginaw Valley State at 1 p.m.

VOLLEYBALL
The Huskies swept its final weekend of the regular season with a 3-0 win over Parkside Friday and a 3-0 sweep of Purdue Northwest Saturday. Meg Raabe (4.57 k/s) led the offense, while Lina Espejo-Ramirez (11.86 a/s) set the attack, and Carissa Beyer (3.86 d/s) led the defense. Tech finished the regular season 19-9 overall and 11-7 in the GLIAC. The Huskies are the fifth seed in the GLIAC Tournament and will open the postseason at Wayne State in a GLIAC quarterfinal matchup Wednesday at 7 p.m.

CROSS COUNTRY
The cross country squads started the postseason Friday with a third-place finish from the men's team and a fourth-place finish from the women's team at the GLIAC Championships. Clayton Sayen (5th) and Drew Kolodge (6th) earned First Team All-GLIAC honors and Nick McKenzie (20th) was a Second Team All-GLIAC runner. Michelle Bollini earned Second Team All-GLIAC honors for her 23rd-place finish. The Huskies return to action on November 19, competing in the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships, hosted by Parkside.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech fell 72-66 in exhibition play at UW-Green Bay Thursday. Marcus Tomashek led the Huskies with 21 points. Tech is hosting the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover Tournament at the SDC Gym this weekend to begin the regular season and plays Lewis at 2 p.m. Saturday and McKendree at 2 p.m. Sunday.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Ellie Mackay scored 20 points and Tech led for most of the game but fell just short at UW-Green Bay 68-64 in exhibition play Wednesday. The Huskies open the regular season this weekend in Liberty, Missouri on the campus of William and Jewell. Tech will play the hosts at 8:30 p.m. Friday and Lewis at 2 p.m. Saturday.

SOCCER
The soccer season came to an end with a 3-1 loss in the GLIAC Quarterfinal at Ferris State Tuesday. Stephanie Yeager scored on a penalty kick in the second half. The Huskies finished 2022 with a 7-9-3 record.
