HOCKEY
The Huskies tied Northern Michigan 4-4 Saturday at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena in exhibition play. Tyrone Bronte, Logan Ganie, Arvid Caderoth, and Tristan Ashbrook scored for the home team. Tech opens its regular season this weekend with a non-conference series at No. 11 Wisconsin. The puck drops at 8 p.m. both Friday and Saturday night at the Kohl Center.

VOLLEYBALL
Tech extended its winning streak to six games. The Huskies defeated Wayne State 3-1 Friday and swept Saginaw Valley State Saturday at the SDC Gym. Anna Jonynas notched her 1,000th career kill Saturday to become the only player in program history to tally 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs. She led the offense with 5.57 kills per set. Laura De Marchi (12.71 a/s) set the attack, and Carissa Beyer (5.86 d/s) led the defense. The Huskies are 11-4 overall and 6-1 in the GLIAC and play a single match this week when they host Northern Michigan on Saturday at the SDC Gym. TV6 will televise the match.

FOOTBALL
The Huskies dominated Davenport 31-7 Saturday afternoon at Kearly Stadium. Darius Willis had a 48-yard pass from Will Ark in the first quarter, and William Marano scored on a 15-yard run also in the first. Will Ark had a 1-yard touchdown run in the second and then connected with Hunter Richards on a 33-yard touchdown reception in the second. Marc Sippel led the defense with 10 tackles while Marvin Wright added nine. The Huskies hit the road for the first time Saturday for a 6 p.m. kickoff at Wayne State.

SOCCER
The Huskies shut out their two opponents this weekend at Kearly Stadium. Tech defeated Purdue Northwest 3-0 Friday and Northern Michigan 2-0 Sunday. Stephanie Yeager had a goal in each game. Emily Zeitunian and Allison Thelen scored Friday and Grace Shaw added a goal Sunday. Erika Gabriel picked up the win between the pipes Friday and Gracie VanLangevelde earned the victory Sunday. Tech is 6-3 overall and 3-2 in the GLIAC and travels to Ferris State Friday before a home game against Parkside Sunday.

CROSS COUNTRY
The Huskies raced at the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invite Friday. The men placed eighth and the women were 10th. Isaac Steers (42nd), Logan Lukonic (45th), and Ben Holland (47th) were in the top 50 for the men. Miranda Meyers (33rd), Abby Martin (53rd), and Jenna Disser (99th) led the women. Tech travels to Romeoville, Illinois Friday for the Lewis Crossover.
