HOCKEY
The Huskies host Northern Michigan for an exhibition game on Saturday at the MacInnes Student Ice Arena. Puck drop is set for 7:07 p.m. The game will not be streamed on FloHockey.tv. The Huskies and Wildcats play four times in the regular season in CCHA action on November 12-13 and January 21-22. In the CCHA preseason coaches' poll, the Huskies were picked third behind Minnesota State and Bowling Green. NMU placed fourth in the poll.

VOLLEYBALL
Tech extended its winning and sweep streak to four with a pair of road GLIAC victories. Tech defeated Lake Superior State Friday for the 20th straight time and also swept Northwood Saturday. Anna Jonynas (4.67 k/s) led the offense, Laura De Marchi (10.4 a/s) set the attack, and Carissa Beyer (4.5 d/s) led the defense. Tech is 9-4 overall and 4-1 in the GLIAC and returns home for matches against Wayne State Friday at 7 p.m. and Saginaw Valley State Saturday at 4 p.m.

CROSS COUNTRY
The Huskies raced at the Roy Griak Invitational and Clayton Sayen won the Joe Rider Men's Maroon 8K race that had 374 racers. The men's team placed fourth with Samuel Lange (13th), Drew Kolodge (40th), Luke Moore (41st), and Ben Passolt (47th) also placing in the top 50. The women's team placed ninth with Michelle Bollini leading the way in 26th place. Sam Kurkowski (35th) and Annabel Needham (48th) were also in the top 50. The Huskies race at the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invite Friday in Wisconsin.

FOOTBALL
The Huskies fell 44-21 to No. 9 Grand Valley State Saturday at Kearly Stadium. Jordan Janssen scored on an 8-yard pass from Will Ark. Michael Bates had a 63-yard interception return for a touchdown, and Kyle Wood had an 8-yard run to the endzone. Fred Kemp led the defense with 10 tackles, including 1.5 tackles for loss. Tech wraps up its four-game homestand against Davenport at Kearly Stadium. Kickoff for the annual Homecoming game is at 1 p.m.

SOCCER
The Huskies played only one game and fell 3-0 at Saginaw Valley State Sunday. Tech held a 17-7 lead in shots. The Black and Gold are 4-3 overall and 1-2 in the GLIAC and host Purdue Norwest on Friday at 5 p.m. and Northern Michigan Sunday at Noon at Kearly Stadium. Sunday's game against the Wildcats will be aired on TV6.
