Cassidy Trotter scored 23 points and Abbie Botz was also in double figures with 13 while pulling down 13 rebounds. The Huskies are off until the New Year.

The Huskies outscored NMU 42-33 in the second half Sunday but fell 64-61 after a three-pointer at the buzzer. Dawson Bilski (22), Owen White (13), and Tommy Lucca (10) scored in double figures for the Black and Gold. Tech hosts Algoma University in a non-conference game Saturday at 1 p.m. at the SDC Gym to wrap up the 2019 schedule.

The Huskies began their season at Al Quaal in Ishpeming over the weekend. Henriette Semb had a pair of top-three finishes for the women and Reid Goble had top-four finishes both days on the men's side. Tech will host the Pre-National CXC Cup on Saturday and Sunday at the Tech Trails. Saturday is the skate sprint and Sunday is the classic.
