HOCKEY
The Huskies fell 3-1 in the annual US Hockey Hall of Fame Game Saturday at No. 14 North Dakota. Justin Misiak scored for the Huskies, and Robbie Beydoun had 21 saves in his second straight start. Tech is now 3-4 on the season and returns home this weekend against No. 2 Minnesota State. The puck drops at 7:07 p.m. Friday and 6:07 p.m. Saturday against the Mavericks.

VOLLEYBALL
The No. 21-ranked volleyball team won its eighth in a row and picked up its fourth straight sweep with a victory at Northern Michigan Saturday. The Huskies won 27-25, 25-20, and 25-21 at Vandament Arena to improve to 19-4 overall and 11-1 in the GLIAC. MacAulay Petersen and Olivia Ghormley led the Huskies with 11 kills. Laura De Marchi had a double-double with 34 assists and 17 digs. Megan Utlak also hit double figures with 15 digs. After a six-match road trip, where the Huskies won all six, Tech returns home for the final time in the regular season this weekend, hosting No. 20 Ferris State Friday and Northwood Saturday for Senior Day.

SOCCER
Tech soccer picked up a pair of road GLIAC shutouts over the weekend with a 1-0 win at Parkside Friday and another 1-0 victory Sunday over Purdue Northwest. Neve Badalow scored the game-winner against the Rangers 13:00 in. Amanda Young stopped all five shots she faced. Allison Thelen buried Sunday's goal in the 44th minute. Gracie VanLangevelde had seven saves Sunday versus the Pride. The Huskies wrap up the regular season at Northern Michigan Friday. First kick is set for 2 p.m.

CROSS COUNTRY
The Huskies race at the NCAA II Midwest Region Championships on Saturday at Angel Mounds State Historic Site in Evansville, Indiana. The women's 6k is slated for 11:30 a.m. Eastern, while the men's 10k is scheduled to begin at 12:45 p.m.

FOOTBALL
Tech football fell 52-0 to No. 2 Ferris State at Kearly Stadium. Braxton Blackwell (14 tackles) and Ben Rybicki (13 tackles) led the defense. Steele Fortress had 65 yards passing, and Jared Smith rushed for 37 yards. The Huskies wrap up the road schedule with a 1 p.m. kickoff at Wayne State Saturday.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
The Huskies wrapped up exhibition play with a 98-49 victory over Finlandia Friday at the SDC Gym. All 12 available Huskies scored in the game and were led by Ellie Welsh with 17 points. Tech opens the regular season in Illinois against Lewis Saturday and William Jewell Sunday for the GLVC/GLIAC Crossover.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Tech begins its 2019-20 season at McKendree Saturday for the GLVC/GLIAC Crossover. The Huskies play Lewis Sunday. The Black and Gold were picked third in the GLIAC North Division in the preseason coaches' poll. Kyle Monroe and Dawson Bilski were on the Preseason All-Conference North Team.
