HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech Student Athletic Advisory Committee (SAAC) will be holding a hat and mitten donation campaign at four sporting events in November.

The first will be at this Saturday's home football game against Ferris State followed by volleyball's match against the Bulldogs on Friday November 8. The donation campaign will also be held during both games of the Huskies' WCHA hockey series with Minnesota State November 8 and 9.

SAAC will be collecting new or gently used hats, mittens, and other winter apparel for donation to the Salvation Army in Hancock. In addition to these collection events, donation bins will be placed in the administration building by the elevators and at the SDC by the ticket office beginning October 29. These bins will be in these locations until November 11 to collect donations.

The Student Athletic Advisory Committee serves both to promote student-athlete welfare and to enhance the overall student-athlete experience. This committee is comprised of two representatives from each of the fourteen varsity sports as well as the dance and cheer teams.

The kickoff for Saturday's football game is slated for 1 p.m., the first serve for volleyball November 8 is at 5 p.m., and the puck drops for the hockey games are slated for 7:07 p.m. Friday (Nov. 8) and 6:07 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 9).
