William Wiljanen
Inducted October 17, 1987

William Wiljanen '61 earned All-America honors twice during his career with the Michigan Tech football team. He was a small college All-American in 1959 and 1960. Also in 1960, he captained the Huskies and was an Academic All-American. He played four years of football and two years of basketball while an undergraduate.

As an alumnus, Wiljanen has regularly suupported the athletic program and is a member of the Michigan Tech Alumni Association. He has been involved in youth basketball and hockey programs for several years in the Detroit, Michigan area.

Wiljanen received his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, and has spent his career with Detroit Edison. Currently he is the utility's assistant general superintendent of consturction.
