William J. Massey III
Inducted October 29, 1994

One of the most prominent players to compete in men's basketball at Michigan Tech, Bill Massey played for the Huskies from 1960-64.

A four-year letterwinner, Massey accumulated 943 points in 83 total games.

He helped the Huskies to the 1962-63 Northern State College Conference title, a year in which the Huskies achieved a 17-5 overall record. For his efforts, Massey gained All-NSCC Second Team recognition.

His senior season, one in which Massey served as team captain, Michigan Tech moved to the Northern Intercollegiate Conference where he earned Second Team All-NIC honors.

During his stay at MTU, Massey was involved in more than just athletics. He not only captained MTU's College Bowl Team in 1964, but he was also a member of both Blue Key National Honor Society and the IFC Council.

Following graduation from MTU, Massey went on to play for two years in Luxembourg in the National League. He also spent time playing in Peru, Mexico, and Brazil.
