Tom Csmarich

Inducted October 18, 1997

One of just three players ever at MTU to earn Most Valuable Player honors in the Northern Intercollegiate Conference, Tom Csmarich danced around opponents at Hubbell Field from 1963-66.

As a halfback, the Ontonagon, Michigan, native rolled up 1,457 yards during his tenure, averaging almost five yards per carry. He also caught 48 passes for 600 yards and scored 17 total touchdowns. In addition, Csmarich returned 31 punts for 373 yards and 21 kickoffs for 310 yards during his time in a Huskies uniform.

The team rushing leader his final three seasons, Csmarich earned the Alan Bovard Award as the team's most valuable player as a junior and senior and was also the squad's scoring leader each of those two campaigns.
