Sheldon "Moose" Larson
Inducted October 24, 1992

Always looking out for the best interests of Michigan Tech athletics, Sheldon "Moose" Larson is being inducted into the Michigan Tech Sports Hall of Fame as a builder.

His professional career at Michigan Tech spanned 20 years (1966-86) during which time he served as rifle coach, assistant football coach, athletic equipment supervisor, and golf coach.

Although he retired in August of 1986, Larson continued to support the MTU athletic programs through donations to the Huskies Club and also by volunteering his time as official timekeeper at MTU basketball games -- a position he started to hold in 1965.

Larson has also been active in the community. He was a member of the Hancock Elks and also was treasurer of St. Ignatius Loyaola Home and School Club.

Larson passed away at his Hancock home on December 7, 2012.
