Robert A. Hauswirth
Inducted October 29, 1994


Bob Hauswirth has been a supporter of Michigan Tech Athletics for more than 30 years and is being inducted into the MTU Sports Hall of Fame as a builder.

Currently the manager of the Student Development Complex, Hauswirth has done more for MTU athletics than simply what his job encompasses. He has been a member of booster clubs for football, basketball, and hockey for more than a quarter century.

A member of the Huskies Club since 1965, Hauswirth served as a member of the Huskies Club Board of Directors from 1971-81 and helped to substantially increase the membership of the club.

The 1988 recipient of the Ken Hamar Award, significant of the MTU Sports Booster of the Year, Hauswirth has also been a very active member on the Huskies Blueline Club through the years. In 1990, he was honored as the MTU Blueline Club Member of the Year.

A three-year hockey letterwinner at MTU (1957-60), Hauswirth was a member of the Huskies' 1960 NCAA Runner-up Team.
