Louis F. Angotti
Inducted November 2, 1991

Lou Angotti is undoubtedly one of the finest hockey players ever to compete at Michigan Tech.

A three-year letterwinner, Angotti helped the Huskies to the 1962 NCAA Championship, a year MTU also won the WCHA title.

Selected as a first-team All-American in 1962, Angotti still remains the only player ever to be named the NCAA Tournament's Most Valuable Player twice as he gained the honor in both 1960 and 1962.

After leaving MTU in 1962, Angotti went on to play professional hockey for 10 years and also served one-year stints as head coach of th St. Louis Blues (1973-74) and the Pittsburgh Penguins (1983-84).
