Ken Naples
Inducted October 18th, 2003

Ken Naples played both football and hockey while at Michigan Tech, however football was where he made his most notable contribution.

He was a four-year letter winner on the gridiron (1962-65) where he was a four-year starter -- as a tackle on offense, as an inside linebacker on defense, and on all seven special teams units. According to coach Bill Lucier, there were many games when Naples played the entire 60 minutes.

Ken helped the huskies to Northern Intercollegiate Conference titles in 1963 and 1965 and was a three-time All-NIC First Team pick (1963, 64, 65). He copped the team's Fred Baird Memorial Award as its outstanding defensive player in 1963.

Naples also played on the freshman hockey team (freshman weren't eligible for varsity competition in his year) during the 1962-63 season.
