Jim Kapp

 Jim Kapp coached football at Michigan Tech for 12 seasons from 1969-80, serving as head coach from 1973-80. 

He compiled a 41-34-2 record as head coach with his most successful season coming in 1974. Tech went 9-0 (one of two undefeated seasons in modern school history) that year and captured the Northern Intercollegiate Conference title. 

Kapp, who also served on the Michigan Technological University Faculty Senate, was named the 1974 NIC Coach of the Year. He went on to coach at Division III Wooster in Ohio for four seasons. 

Kapp retired in 2003 from being a stockbroker and still resides in Wooster.
