Geof Kotila
Inducted October 26, 2002


Geof Kotila was a four-year starter for the Michigan Tech's men's basketball team where he helped the huskies to a 63-37 mark and the school's first-ever Northern Intercollegiate Conference title in 1979-80.

He was named his team's outstanding newcomer in 1978-79, earned the club's most improved player award in 1980-81, and in 1982-82 gained the team MVP award as well as the Raymond L. Smith Award as the university's outstanding senior male student-athlete.

He Played in 102 career games and is currently 15th all-time in points at MTU (1,394).

Kotila also served as assistant men's basketball coach at MTU (1985-87); head men's basketball coach (1987-94); and head men's cross country coach (1985-86).
