Dave Walter
Inducted October 24, 1998

Dave Walter played quarterback for the Michigan Tech football team from 1983-86 and went on to play one season (1987) in the National Football League.

He was named the team's Most Valuable Player each of his final three seasons and earned the Raymond L. Smith Award as the top male senior student-athlete at MTU in 1987.

An All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team selection in 1984, Walter holds 20 different offensive school records.

In addition, he set an NCAA Division II record for most plays in a game with 85 vs. Ferris State on Oct. 18, 1986. He also set the NCAA Division II record for most plays in a career with 1,660.
