Clem Banfield

Born December 18, 1916, Clem Banfield has been an ardent backer of Michigan Tech athletics for four decades.
A major contribution in his storied history of support for MTU athletics was helping found the Huskies Club with Herman Gundlach and Jack Howard in 1956.
Banfield is a former president of both Dollar Bay Linoleum and Tile Company an Champion Monument Company and has served as director for Dollar Bay Equipment and vice president of the Houghton National Bank Board of Directors.
He was awarded an honorary varsity letter and blanket by Michigan Tech in 1964.
Banfield passed away on November 1, 1999.
