Anne Eslinger (Johnson)

Anne Eslinger (married name Johnson) was a member of Michigan Tech’s inaugural women’s basketball teams. She earned most valuable player honors following the school’s very first season in 1975-76, and went on to total 419 points and 417 rebounds in 42 career games over three years (averages of 10.0 points and 9.9 rebounds per game).

Eslinger earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from MTU in 1978 before gaining an MBA from UMass in 1982. She resided in Arlington Heights, Illinois.

Eslinger passed away on August 11, 2016.
