NCAA Eligibility Center

All prospective student-athletes must be certified by the Eligibility Center, which is an agency that will provide initial eligibility certification for all prospective student-athletes wishing to compete as freshmen at NCAA member institutions. There are two parts: academic and amateurism. Both sections need to be completed prior to competition.

Prospective Student-Athletes must do the following:

  1. Register with the Eligibility Center online www.eligibilitycenter.org.
  2. The high school guidance office forwards a copy of the prospective student-athlete’s transcript. A final transcript must be submitted to the Eligibility Center at the end of the year to confirm that you have graduated. Remember to have the high school guidance counselors do this before they leave on summer vacation (especially important for fall sports).

  3. You must have your SAT and ACT test scores sent directly from the testing agency to the Eligibility Center. You can do this by indicating the Eligibility Center as one of your choices when taking the test or by submitting an Additional Score Report form to the testing agency at a later date. The code for the Eligibility Center is 9999. In order to meet initial eligibility requirements, all student-athletes must achieve the minimum SAT/ACT test scores prior to their enrollment.
  4. The Eligibility Center also requires you to answer amateurism questions. Check the following links for more information.
