Michigan Tech To Face Lewis in NCAA Midwest Region Tournament

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech volleyball team has been selected to compete in the 2018 NCAA Division II Tournament for the 10th time in program history. The Huskies were given the No. 5 seed in the Midwest Region, and will take on No. 4 seed Lewis in the first round.

Michigan Tech is currently 23-6 overall and is coming off a Semifinal appearance in the 2018 GLIAC Tournament. This marks the second straight year the Huskies were selected for the NCAA Tournament, after they were picked eighth in the Midwest Region and lost 3-1 to Lewis in the first round.

Drury (27-6) was selected as the top seed and the host of all matches in the tournament. The Panthers finished runner-up in the GLVC during the regular season and as runner-up in the GLVC Tournament.

Lewis (25-7) finished the regular season as GLVC champions with a record of 15-3 in the conference. The Flyers were the No. 1 seed in the GLVC Tournament, and were knocked out in the Semifinals by Rockhurst.
