Tennis Sweeps Lake Erie 9-0

PAINESVILLE, Ohio — Michigan Tech women's tennis remained perfect on its road trip with a second straight 9-0 victory over Lake Erie. The Huskies improved to 2-3 overall and 2-3 in GLIAC action with the win.

With only four players, LEC forfieted matches at No. 3 doubles and Nos. 5 and 6 singles. The Huskies earned wins at all the other flights.

Natalia Lebedeva improved to 5-0 on the season at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 victory. Kwang Suthijindawong, the Huskies usual No. 2 player, was held out because of injury precaution. That moved up the next three individuals. Erika Tenizbaeva was a 7-5, 7-5 winner at No. 2 singles. Emilia Tenizbaeva earned a 6-1, 6-3 victory at No. 3. Audrey Hutton triumphed 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4.

Tech will return to Canton, Ohio, to wrap up its road trip tomorrow. The Huskies will face Walsh at 10 a.m.
