Bio

Chuck Coan begins his 10th season as an assistant soccer coach at Michigan Tech. He brings over 25 years of soccer coaching experience, including 22 at the collegiate level.

Coan works with all facets of the Huskies' program and has been a major factor in the program's growth. The soccer program was established at Michigan Tech in 2010, and the Huskies have had six winning seasons, a GLIAC Championship and two NCAA Tournament appearances during that span.

Prior to Michigan Tech, Coan served as the assistant coach at Marian University for three seasons under Huskies head coach Michelle Jacob. He also coached at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and Lawrence University and has extensive coaching experience at the high school and club levels.

Coan was enshrined into the Wisconsin Soccer Hall of Fame in March 2015. He was named the National Soccer Coaches Association of America National Competitive Youth Girls Coach of the Year in 2005, and served as the state technical director for NSCAA from 2004-11.

The native of Lansing, Mich., has numerous soccer certifications, including a USA Soccer Level "D" coaching certification and a NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma.
