About the Rangers

Parkside enters the week coming off of a 0-2 weekend, being shutout by Saginaw Valley (2-0) on Friday (Oct. 13) and falling to Ferris State (2-1) on Sunday (Oct. 15). The Rangers have an overall standing of 5-5-2 and 2-5-2 within the GLIAC.

Goalkeeper Mia Guyton ranks third in the conference with 47 saves this season. She ranks first in the league with a .904 save percentage.

Parkside is averaging 7.67 saves per game with the tandem of Guyton and Izzy Guyer, which ranks 11th nationally and first in the conference.

Alexis Baker leads the Rangers with four goals this season, while Emily Mikkelson and Alexis Bolger have netted three goals apiece.

Despite the record, Parkside and its opponents are even in total goals with 11 goals apiece this season. However, the Rangers have been outshot 212 to 146, with approximately 40 fewer shots on goal than the opposition.

About the Pride

Purdue Northwest is on a five-game skid, most recently being shutout at Ferris State 5-0 on Friday (Oct. 13) before falling to Saginaw Valley 3-1 on Sunday (Oct. 15). The Pride is still without a conference win with an overall ledger of 2-9-2 and 0-8-1 in the loop.

Senior Lauryn Tillmon scored the lone goal for the Pride over the weekend with three total shots.

PNW averages 0.85 goals per game, with the opposition averaging 2.15 goals per game.

Defensively, the Pride averages 6.23 saves per game, being led by first-year goalkeeper Meta Fischer with 61 saves this season, ranking first in the league.

The Pride have been tougher to face at home, with a record of 2-4-2 at Pepsi Field compared to 0-5 on the road.

Kaci Pampreen leads the Pride's offense with four goals and two assists with two game-winners.

About the Huskies

Michigan Tech takes to the road following another successful road trip with a 1-1 draw at No. 9 Grand Valley State on Friday (Oct. 13), followed up with a 1-0 win at Davenport on Sunday (Oct. 15). The Huskies are 5-2-6 overall with a GLIAC standing of 4-1-4 currently sitting fourth in the conference.

Michigan Tech had late-game heroics from Reilly Lovercheck, who checked in minutes before netting the game-tying goal on Friday night marking her first career goal as Julia Pietila earned her first assist of the season.

Similarly, Cassie Bonifas has continued to answer the call offensively for the Huskies, garnering her fourth goal of the season and her second game-winner coming against Davenport off of a free kick.

Michigan Tech is averaging 1.23 goals per game with 11.6 shots per game. Suelgi Lee leads the Huskies offensively with five goals this season. Close behind is Bonfias with four goals and one assist. Emilie Clayton has netted a career-high three goals in the 2023 campaign.

Goalkeeper Gracie VanLangevelde has logged 1108:50 minutes between the posts this season, recording 46 saves and three shutouts.

One Last Thing

The Huskies will look to sweep Parkside and Purdue Northwest as the Black & Gold shutout the Pride (2-0) and the Rangers (1-0) at Kearly Stadium earlier this season.
