HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech soccer has added Reece Scott to its roster for the upcoming 2023 season. Scott joins Tech as a transfer from NCAA Division I institution Grambling State University, a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, where she was a member of the soccer team for the past two seasons. Scott will have one year of eligibility remaining as a defender and will be earning her master's degree in health informatics.

"We're extremely excited to welcome Reece Scott to our MTU family," head coach Bulut Ozturk said. "She brings a wealth of experience at the Division I level as well as on a senior national team (Guyana) and I believe that with our returners as well as our incoming class, I'm confident that our team will be prepared to take the next steps towards GLIAC success."

Scott hails from Kitchener, Ontario, competing for the Tigers for the last two seasons logging 31 games played making 22 starts. Scott's role increased from the 2021 season to the 2022 season, logging 1,861 minutes making 18 starts out of 21 games played.

In February of 2022, Scott was selected to represent Guyana Women's National Soccer Team. She started her collegiate career at Columbia State Community College.
