Huskies Visit Houghton Elementary

HOUGHTON, Mich. – As part of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's effort to integrate Michigan Tech Athletics into the community, members of the Tech soccer and cross country teams visited physical education classes at Houghton Elementary School.

The week of January 26-30 was designated as a SAAC outreach week. The student-athletes attended several gym classes and spoke to the kids about their program and what it takes to be a student-athlete. Then they gave the kids a small taste of their sport, leading the children through drills and games.
