Bio

Hainault joined the Michigan Tech coaching staff in the fall of 2023 bringing over 10 years of coaching experience. Hainault previously was the Finlandia head coach from 2022-23 where she helped the Lions go 44-33. Prior to becoming the head coach, Hainault served as the assistant coach from 2019-2022. In the 2020 season, she helped the Lions to the ACAA National Championship.

Prior to Finlandia, Hainault enjoyed a head coach position at Chassell Township schools from 2012-2018. She was the 2018 Copper Mountain Coach of the Year leading Chassell to a State Runner-up. She led Chassel to a District Championship in 2016 and was a Coach of the Year in her first season at the helm in 2012.

During her six years, she led the Panthers to a record of 65-60, three trips to the District championship game, two district titles and a regional championship.  In 2017-18, Hainault took Chassell to the Class D State Championship game.  This was the first appearance for the girls’ team.

Hainault earned three letters at Finlandia (2000-02).  She was a two-time Team Defensive MVP winner. She has a B.S. in Elementary Education from Finlandia and a Masters in Reading Specialist from Northern Michigan.

She resides in Houghton with her Husband and her kids, Ethan Ellie and Emmett.
