LILBURN, Ga. - The Michigan Tech women's basketball team remained at No. 17 in this week's edition of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association NCAA Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll, announced Tuesday by the national office. The Huskies have been ranked as high as 10th this season and held the 17th spot in each of the last two polls.

The Huskies extended their current winning streak to eight games and secured the 2018 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference North Division title with a pair of conference wins last week over Ferris State 80-63 and Lake Superior State 75-65. It's the 15th overall regular season conference championship in program history and fifth under Head Coach Kim Cameron.

Tech also clinched the No. 2 seed in the upcoming GLIAC Tournament and will host a quarterfinal game on February 28th in the SDC. The Huskies enter the final week of the regular season with an overall record of 22-3 and are 16-2 against GLIAC opponents.

Michigan Tech earned 216 points again in this week's poll and are one of two GLIAC teams ranked in the top 25. Ashland remained unbeaten last week and is now 26-0, keeping the No. 1 ranking with 575 points and all 23 first place votes. Grand Valley State retained a spot in the receiving votes category once again this week.

The Huskies will wrap up the regular season this week at the SDC with conference showdowns against Wayne State and Davenport. Tech will face the Warriors on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. followed by a meeting with the Panthers on Saturday at 1 p.m.
