Huskies Not Selected for NCAA Tournament

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The 2016-17 Michigan Tech women's basketball season has officially come to an end after the NCAA Tournament selection committee didn't select Tech as an at-large bid in the Midwest Region on Sunday (March 5).

The Huskies completed the season with a 20-8 overall record and a 15-6 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Tech finished third in the GLIAC North Division standings and advanced to the GLIAC Final Four. The Huskies defeated Ohio Dominican on Tuesday 82-66 in the quarterfinals, but fell at top ranked Ashland 81-59 in the semifinals on Saturday.

Ashland University, Saginaw Valley State, and Grand Valley State were the three GLIAC teams selected for the 2017 NCAA Div. II Women's Basketball Tournament.
