THIS WEEK'S NOTES

STAT OF THE WEEK
181 • Career blocks for Danielle Blake—a new Michigan Tech record. Danae Danen (2006-10) previously held the mark with 178. Blake has 39 this season.

WINTER SIXTH DIFFERENT HUSKY TO SCORE 20
Lindsay Winter posted her first career 20-point game with 22 in a 74-53 win over Ferris State last Thursday (Feb. 4). The sophomore guard went 8-of-12 from the floor including 3-of-5 from 3-point range in the contest to surpass her previous career high of 16. Winter has scored in double figures nine times this season to push her season scoring average to 8.5.

MOXLEY TAKES OVER TEAM SCORING LEAD
Senior Kylie Moxley has had arguably the most productive stretch in her career over the last two weeks with 88 points in five games (17.6 per game). She scored a career-high 27 points in a 71-69 loss at Northern Michigan last Monday (Feb. 1) before putting up 18 and 12 in a pair of home wins vs. Ferris State and Grand Valley State, respectively. Moxley has now scored one more point on the season than teammate Danielle Blake. Moxley has a team-high season scoring average of 13.2.

BLAKE GAME WINNER REDEMPTION
Just five days after missing a potential game-tying layup at the buzzer in a 71-69 loss at Northern Michigan, Danielle Blake got her opportunity for redemption. The senior forward drove the left baseline and scored with two-tenths of a second remaining for a 57-55 victory over Grand Valley State on Saturday (Feb. 6). Blake scored only 10 points in the two weekend games combined last week, but pulled down 27 rebounds in the two contests to raise her season average to 8.5—sixth best in the GLIAC.

DEFENSE FIRST
Michigan Tech held both of its opponents at home last weekend under 56 points, marking the seventh and eighth times this season it has done that. The Huskies rank third in the GLIAC in scoring defense at 59.1 points allowed per game.

BLAKE CONTINUES ASCENT IN RECORD BOOK
With 1,178 career points and 687 career rebounds, senior Danielle Blake is moving further up Michigan Tech's all-time lists. She is tied for 16th on the scoring chart and fifth on the rebounds list.

Michigan Tech holds a 43-18 all-time series advantage over Hillsdale. The Huskies have won six straight and eight of the last 10 vs. Chargers' including an 83-53 triumph in Houghton last month.

SERIES VS. SAGINAW VALLEY STATE
Thanks to wins in 18 of the last 19 games vs. Saginaw Valley State, Michigan Tech holds a 47-32 lead in the series which dates back to 1979. Tech won earlier this season 67-56 in Houghton and have claimed five straight vs. the Cardinals.

COACH CAMERON
Kim Cameron, in her sixth year as Tech's head coach, has put together a 134-37 (.784) career record. She is the first Division II head coach in Tech history to lead a team to a national title game appearance (2011) and was the GLIAC Coach of the Year in 2011 and 2015 and Midwest Region Coach of the Year in 2011. Cameron-coached teams have claimed three GLIAC North Division titles and advanced to the NCAA Tournament three times—twice as the top seed of the Midwest Regional.
