Women’s Basketball Hosting Reunion August 8-9

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech women's basketball team will be hosting a reunion on August 8-9. Former Huskies will make their way back to campus to reunite with old teammates, friends and fans. An alumni game is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Saturday at the SDC Gym with free admission.

"It's a great opportunity for players from all generations to get together and reminisce with teammates and friends," Tech women's basketball coach Kim Cameron said. "It's going to be a really fun weekend for everyone. Myself, assistant coach Maria Kasza, and the team are very excited to welcome everyone back to the Copper Country."

The women's basketball reunion is being held in conjunction with Michigan Tech's annual Alumni Reunion. The full schedule of events can be found HERE.

Below is the schedule of events for the women's basketball reunion:

Friday

  • 6 p.m. // Women's Basketball Family Open Gym at the SDC Gym. Join Blizzard, teammates, other players and their families for an hour of fun. Also, meet the current players as they will be hosting games (ping pong, Bean bags, etc.) for the kids while the former players hone their shooting skills.
  • 7:30 p.m. // // Women's Basketball Social at the Downtowner Lounge. Catch up with former teammates and enjoy the beautiful views of the water and bridge from the deck. Spaghetti dinner with cash bar. Exclusive to Women's Basketball and guests.

Saturday

  • 1 p.m. // Women's Basketball Tour of the SDC. Join athletic department staff as they give a guided tour of the SDC and see the many upgrades that have taken place.
  • 2 p.m. // Women's Basketball Welcome at the SDC Gym. Join Coach Kim Cameron for a welcome and state of the program address and hear remarks from an alumna and a current player.
  • 3 p.m. // Women's Basketball Alumnae Game at the SDC Gym. All are welcome to come out and cheer on the Women's Basketball alumnae teams!
  • 7 p.m. // Women's Basketball Social at the Keweenaw Brewing Company. Catch up with former teammates while enjoying one of the area's favorite breweries. Cash bar and no food.
