Wiedemeier Wins Pole Vault at St. Norbert Twilight

DE PERE, Wis. – Two Michigan Tech track and field student-athletes competed at the St. Norbert Twilight Meet on Thursday (Apr. 17) at Schneider Stadium. Jake Wiedemeier won the pole vault and Mike Fisher placed fourth in the high jump.

Wiedemeier cleared 14-feet, 1.25 inches and won by over 13 inches. It was his highest mark of the season. Fisher's jump of 6-feet, 4.75 inches was his second best jump of the season.

Both athletes were competing near their hometowns. Wiedemeier is from Crivitz, Wis., and Fisher hails from Green Bay.
