MTU Nordic Skiing Hosts CCSA Conference Championships

HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech Recreation Trails will play host to its third race weekend of the Nordic Ski season as the Michigan Tech Huskies will compete in the CCSA Conference Championships on February 15-16.

Tech last skied at the CCSA Northwoods Nordic Invitational on February 2-3 in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Amanda Kautzer and Sarah Goble finished on the podium for the Huskies in the 15K classic, while Henriette Semb scored a podium-finish in the 5K skate. For the Tech men in Rhinelander, Patrick Acton twice finished inside the top 10 in the 20K classic and the 10K skate. Oda Hovland and Emma Albrecht also skied strongly for the Huskies on the course, as did Reid Goble, Mitch DeLong, and Mark Ousdigian for the men's team.

Competition begins on Saturday (Feb. 15) with the women's 5K freestyle at 9:30 a.m., followed by the men's 10K freestyle at 11 a.m. The men will race first on Sunday (Feb. 16) in the 20K classic at 9:30 a.m., and the women will race at noon in the 15K classic.
